Volume Two / Issue One
HATS NEW?
Wow! It seems like I just finished wrapping up the last issue of WireNuts
and here it is the end of another year - where have the days and years gone?
1999 has been a record year for us, thanks entirely to all of you.
So what's new? Plenty! High-definition satellite is hopefully coming in the
first quarter of 2000. DVD continues to gain great momentum and if you
haven't experienced the picture and sound improvements of this new format,
what are you waiting for - your invitation is in your hand! If you are still
struggling with too many remotes, the new Philips/Marantz Pronto or the Home
Theater Command SL-9000 universal/learning remotes are very cool!
As for the ShowHome, it's really coming into its own - we've added so much
in the last year! We now have the Polk Audio SRT Home Theatre Speaker System
set-up as well as the B&W Nautilus 802's and the Martin-Logan reQuest's -
you really have to hear them to believe them!
We're just a month away from having the best two-piece projection system up
and running - the new DWIN HD-700 and TranScanner combination is truly
unbelievable!
ID YOU KNOW?
In June we had our first installation published in Audio Video Interiors!
This was really a culmination of all of our efforts over the years and it
was great being singled out by the industry as having "arrived". Thanks to
Mary Ann Giorgio and all the folks at AVI, and to Don and Sarah Reinhard for
the opportunity to be a part of such a great project. I know I've said this
before, but it bears repeating - don't think that a project or referral is
too small for us - sometimes the smallest jobs lead to much bigger things
and it was the small projects that we built our experience on. The
challenge, fun and unexpected can happen anywhere, so keep recommending us
and we'll do our best to make you proud.
Since our last issue of WireNuts we have seen some significant changes in
the marketing of audio and video equipment. We are happy to see that Best
Buy and Sound Advice have arrived and are promoting many of our products. We
have benefited from their presence and wish them success here in our
"playground". Sharing many of the same product lines has really given us an
opportunity to hear from more of you, and matching their pricing has been
easier than we thought. Then of course there's the custom and commitment
difference that really sets us apart. The next time you need anything, let
us show you what we can do - you'll be happy you did!
We just finished our 10th year as a CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and
Installation Association) member, and this organization just keeps getting
better and better. Between the great shows they put on every year, to the
ongoing technical and member support, CEDIA members are by far the most
informed and committed group of audio/video "nuts" anywhere. March of 1999
marked my 20th year as a Hi-Fi "nut" - since the spring of 1979 I have been
on this incredible journey which keeps renewing itself year after year.
Ain't Life Grand!
ULLETIN BOARD
I'd like to mention and thank the companies that have made such a difference
in our business, letting us do what we do best, supporting our efforts and
taking care of us so we can take care of you! They say you are only as good

PECIAL EVENTS AND THANK YOUS
I would like to dedicate this issue of WIRENUTS to Debra, who has put up
with me for over 26 years and who continues to amaze and inspire me with her
compassion and patience. Thanks Deb for your part in all we've accomplished
and all we have left to do.
Thank you to Willie Menasco at Stereo Sales for taking a chance on me 20
years ago!
Thanks to the guys who help make it all possible - Mark Odom, Mark Ice and
Mike Farina - you make it worthwhile and I'm looking forward to working with
you in the new millenium.
To all our great "partners" who keep building the best products possible and
who continue to inspire us. We appreciate being a part of your exclusive
family.
This wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention all the great clients and
projects we had the privilege of being a part of in 1999 - too many to name
here, but you know who you are! Thanks for letting us into your homes.
My sincere apologies to David Lowe at Web Yoda for not doing my part in
getting the Web page off the ground sooner, but we're very close - look for
us in the New Year!
Thanks also to Gene Meyers and Diane DiDanato for their part in this issue
of WireNuts. You all keep me going strong…
