HATS NEW?
The ShowHome is now open and available by appointment ! Our unique
ShowHome in Killearn Lakes is filled with some of the coolest , newest
products available anywhere. We have four demonstration rooms, all set-up
with surround sound, remote controlled lighting, automated home theatre
control, and some of the best high-performance audio anywhere and we’re
really having a great time with it ! If you’re thinking about upgrading
your present system or just want to experience the latest Dolby Digital
surround, or maybe you haven’t seen the incredible picture from a DVD
player, then you need to get out here I’m telling you it’s awesome !
Digital Satellite Systems went to Dolby Digital back in July on a limited
basis and HDTV started its first over the air transmissions in the ten
major TV markets on November 1st ! It’s finally here. Expensive, limited,
and very confusing right now, but here nonetheless. We are ushering in a
new age of television and it’s going to ultimately change the way we look
at TV. I can’t wait to have it, but I will and so should you. Stay tuned

ULLETIN BOARD
I got back from New Orleans and the CEDIA EXPO ‘98 and what a great show.
Some of the stand-outs were Mitsubishi’s flat-panel HDTV (unreal looking),
Sony’s new flat-display picture tube in their reference XBR line, and
Martin-Logan’s new Script hybrid electrostatic speaker at under $1,500
a pair! B&W introduced their new line of Kevlar in-wall speakers that
should put the competition in a panic—these in-walls are unbelievable
sounding! Finally, Polk Audio has teamed up with Cinepro to create a
12-piece, 7,000 watt (that’s right, 7,000 watts!) ultimate Signature
Reference Theatre speaker system. The experience I had twice (I had to
go back and hear it again) left me exhausted! I’ve never heard anything
like this before—it simply is the most kick *!@, heart pounding, visceral
experience I’ve heard. If I can afford to set it up at the ShowHome when
it becomes available, I will, and you’re all invited to stop by and get
a taste of it. It will leave you breathless—literally. I can’t say enough
about it—until I hear it again!
I’m proud to say that Jim Gray Designs is the new Martin-Logan
Loudspeaker dealer. I have been to Lawrence, Kansas for a terrific 3 day
training session to learn about every last detail of this amazing company.
Single-handedly, Martin-Logan has redefined the art of loudspeaker design

very best speakers in the world.

PECIAL EVENTS AND THANK YOUS
I would like to dedicate this issue of WIRENUTS to some of the friends
we lost this year. To our friends, Carolyn Fernandez, Roger Augustine,
Nick Leslie, Mark Vogter, Mrs. Ben Willis, Evelyn Block, and Brenda
Hevia—We will miss you all.
I would like to say thank you and good luck to Carl Parker who decided to
take a separate path earlier this year. It was a lot of fun having Carl on
the team and we miss him at lunches ! Carl is still out there competing
with us and in spite of my disappointment, we wish him well. If you’re
ever looking for someone who can do home automation and computer
networking, Carl’s the man. I hope you’ll support his work and thanks
again Carl for the two good years!

WebYoda is at the reins and we are very excited about David’s ideas and
